Joerg Sommer

Joerg Sommer is co-founder and Managing Partner of Felsen Ventures, an operator-led venture capital firm investing in early-stage defence and dual-use technologies. Felsen's team brings together executives who helped drive the automotive industry's early transition to electrification and now applies that experience to supporting founders transforming the defence sector. Joerg has worked in venture capital as a Venture Partner with Berlin-based bmp Ventures and previously held CEO and COO roles in electric-mobility start-ups in Europe and the United States, including StreetScooter, a DHL Group company. Earlier, he held senior roles at Mercedes-Benz, Renault-Nissan, and Volkswagen Group, leading global strategy and vehicle-development programmes.

He is an MIT Sloan alumnus.
